We currently offer 4 natural perfumes available for purchase online and at our local partners.
If you wish to create your own perfume, you can join us in a workshop where we will spend approximately 3 hours creating your unique fragrance together. How? We have developed a method to achieve this. You will smell different fragrances. We start with moderately heavy heart fragrances that will define the heart note. Then, the heavier base fragrances that need to harmonize with the heart accord. Finally, the light fragrances that will compose the top note and give your perfume a ‘pep’. The resulting fragrance will be in harmony with your choices. We will then determine the concentrations of the different fragrances based on our experience and by following some proportion rules.

Our mission
The O xx xy Gen lab was born from the meeting of a pharmacist specialized in cosmetics, Nathalie, and a biochemical engineer, Damien. The idea sprouted 20 years ago and, like all good things, needed time to mature. Both are complementary. Nathalie takes care of new creations. She has aromatherapy courses to consider the therapeutic action of essential oils and ensures the absence of toxicity. Damien focuses more on business management, product registration, and production following good manufacturing practices, assisting his partner. Their strength lies in working together on product finalization and offering double assistance during workshop creations. Today, creating natural perfumes has become a true passion for them, and they open the doors of their lab to share it with us.
Why this name and logo?
The name O xx xy Gen is inspired by genetics and physics. XX and XY are the pairs of female and male sex chromosomes; the perfumes are intended for all genders.
Oxygen is the essential gas we breathe, the breath that gives us life.
The hummingbird in the logo symbolizes air (oxygen), freedom, and the collection of essential oils from flowers. Like the hummingbird, the lab offers the freedom to create your own natural nectar.
Perfuming oneself one to several times a day is not a trivial act. You breathe and make your loved ones breathe scents throughout the day. Too many perfumes on the market are made with synthetic chemical molecules because they are inexpensive, and the components, once mixed, are ready to be sold immediately. We prefer a return to an old-fashioned production with natural products that are chosen, mixed for several days, frozen, and filtered. A natural perfume goes through maturation, which makes it exceptional. What costs in a natural perfume is its content, not the bottle and the marketing around the product.

Human beings are unique, and our laboratory aims to advise and accompany you in the search for your perfume.
We can create your own perfume starting from one of our creations that you like or from scratch by creating it together.
To do this, our passion has led us to meet professionals, and we particularly thank Julie Rochon, Perfumer Creator, Culinary Nose, Olfactory Designer, Quosentis Company, who shared her passion and experience with us by introducing us to a multitude of natural and synthetic raw materials, as well as Nicolas de Barry, Master Perfumer, whom we warmly thank for his wise advice when venturing into the creation of natural perfumes. We are infinitely grateful to them.

Our doors are open for you to experience the quality of the fragrances we have carefully selected and the natural manufacturing process. We prioritize suppliers of fine perfumery with whom we have a trusting relationship regarding the quality of raw materials.
More than 300 people have already attended our workshops and trust us by asking us to reproduce their formulas, which they are attached to. This motivates us in our mission to make perfume creation accessible to a wide audience.
