The Trilogy of Notes - Second Principle:

A perfume is composed of 3 notes: top, heart, and base. The essential oil fragrances are trapped and stabilized in the alcohol of your perfume. Once the perfume is sprayed, the fragrances are released gradually throughout the day. First, the most volatile fragrances that make up the top note. Then, the moderately heavy ones, the heart note. Finally, the heaviest ones, the base note. This forms the olfactory pyramid well known to perfumers.
This same pyramid can also symbolize your relationships with others and yourself.
Close your eyes for a moment and imagine you are in the desert. Suddenly, on the horizon, far away, you see a pointed object, a pyramid. As you get closer, you will first see the top of the pyramid, followed by the heart, and finally, the base. This imagery will help you better understand the symbolism of a perfume’s notes.

BASE NOTE:
This note is the base of the pyramid, invisible or partially visible, hidden by the sand (as shown in the drawing below). This part of you is essential. Everything rests on it.
Many people change perfumes or use several. Then, they return to one perfume rather than another. They are searching for themselves and are sensitive to the image conveyed by advertising. You will choose a base note that will be in harmony with you. It will be present to stabilize the other notes. This note must be in accord with your soul. It will be restful, soothing for yourself. You will love to smell it, to feel yourself.
Upon request, the base note can be formulated separately from the heart and top notes. It will be contained in a small individual bottle so that you can use it separately. When you seek to meditate, read a book, concentrate, study, etc., spray a little of the base note, and you will automatically enter a mode centered on yourself.

HEART NOTE:
The heart, the center of the pyramid. This part is only visible if you are at a good distance from the pyramid. You need to get closer to have visual contact.
The fragrances that will make up your heart note are very important. Often, it will be a blend of one, two, or even three fragrances. The final bouquet of the heart note is what you want to show others. You open your heart to charm. This part of your perfume is the intimate part you wish to share. It will be important in your interactions with others to bring warmth to your ‘heart-to-heart’ relationships.
The heart note must also harmonize with the base note. Our creations take this into account, and if you participate in a creative workshop with us, we will assist you in creating a heart-base accord.

TOP NOTE:
The highest part of the pyramid that can be seen from afar.
This part is on the surface of the perfume, ephemeral as it evaporates very quickly. The fragrances that determine the top note will give a first impression of you. If you walk down the street, for example, and pass someone, you will leave a mark, an impression. You can express your vitality, dynamism, freshness, etc. This is what gives ‘PEP’ to your final perfume. Generally, these are citrus fragrances such as orange, lemon, bergamot that immediately refresh the atmosphere. The top note is not the most important and will not be the starting point for creating your perfume, but it will be perceived as your signature by everyone. The heart opens to those closest to you, and the base to your intimacy.
